About Us
Mishkan Israel Day Camp has been providing all children from the entire community with memorable summer experiences for over three decades! Conveniently located in North Stamford, CT, Mishkan boasts registration of boys and girls from the many cities and towns throughout the Fairfield County Connecticut and Westchester County New York areas.
A staff of dedicated young men and women implement programs and activities in a uniquely exciting and lively way. From the 9:30 A.M. camp roll call until the 4:00 P.M. assembly for dismissal, the vivacious spirit of joy and pride is Mishkan Israel’s most prominent feature.
At Mishkan Israel, each individual child is given the opportunity to express his/her own talents and abilities. Meeting five days a week, the diverse schedule of field trips, athletics, swimming, and computer learning programs is perfectly consistent with the preferences of kids today. Self-Growth and creativity is encouraged through songs, discussion groups, arts & crafts, and dramatics.
The Mishkan Summer Program focuses on activities which includeds sports, art, drama, computer utilization, cooking, cultural activities, math, and science. While learning is an underlying objective of all of the activities,
recreation and fun were an important component.
Mishkan Day Camp respects the unique characteristics and individuality of emerging adolescents. Our staff, in partnership with parents
& campers strives to develop independent and respectable learners, in both heterogeneous and homogeneous groupings. Through our unique environment and genuine atmosphere, we address the physical and emotional needs that further intellectual development and academic advancement, while using an interdisciplinary approach to learning.
With special emphasis placed on strengthening individual goals and milestones – Mishkan Day Camp is committed to improving a youngsters’ life by building confidence and with an enhanced appreciation & understanding of the world around them.
Just as nurturing a young sapling into a blossoming tree requires much care and devotion, so too each and every child deserves the care and devotion required to grow and blossom into a tree of goodness and kindness that can branch out for eternity.
